What we liked
- + Screened and washed sand avoids sharp debris in the coop
- + Single 50 Pounds bag is handy for nest box or dust bath use
- + Easy to find at hardware stores when you need more quickly
Trade-offs
- - Fine play sand compacts and can hold moisture more than coarse sand
- - One bag is too little for a full coop floor on its own
