What we liked
- + Double-side access lets more hens eat at once without crowding one plate
- + Weatherproof lid helps keep rain and debris out of the trough
- + 25 lb capacity is a practical middle size for a typical backyard flock
Trade-offs
- - Two treadles mean two sides to keep clear of bedding and mud
- - Newer brand without the long track record of older treadle makers
