What we liked
- + Metal trough stands up to pecking and rodents better than thin plastic
- + 22 lb capacity covers a small flock for days at a time
- + Weatherproof lid helps keep pellets dry when rain blows into the run
Trade-offs
- - Check fit and finish on arrival since quality can vary by batch
- - Sharp sheet metal edges on generic feeders may need a quick file down
